Who was Dr Montessori?

Dr Maria Montessori (1870-1952) was an Italian physician, educator, and innovator. Her philosophy and method of education was developed over many years but is as relevant and exciting today in the 21^st century. The method is based on detailed observations of children of all abilities and backgrounds, and was created out of love and respect for each unique child.
